Planned paid Actions will follow model processing usage, including input, cached input and output tokens. A prompt can use a fraction of an Action or many Actions; browser clicks and typing add no separate charge.
Your AI account and allowance are separate.
This plan does not provide AI model access. The 0.19.2 usage test starts with 100 local test Actions. Its rates are 40× the original test rates, with no flat fee per prompt. Existing test balances are preserved; this store cannot refill them.

How do I install Own Browser on Windows or Mac?
On Windows, download and open the Windows installer. On a Mac running macOS 13 Ventura or later, download the Mac beta .pkg and open it with Installer. The Mac package detects Apple Silicon or Intel, downloads and SHA-256 verifies the matching engine, and installs Own Browser in Applications. Keep an internet connection during setup. No manual ZIP extraction or Node.js installation is needed. The Mac package is unsigned, not notarized, and has not been tested on macOS; Apple may block it. It is an experimental build, not a finished Mac release.
Do I need a ChatGPT subscription?
For AI features, connect your own eligible ChatGPT account. ChatGPT availability and account limits apply. You can use the browser’s tabs, bookmarks, and new-tab customization without connecting AI.
Are Actions the same as AI credits?
No. Own Browser Actions are our own usage units for the assistant. Planned paid usage will vary with the model and processing required, rather than charging per click or a flat amount per prompt. You connect your own eligible AI account; ChatGPT’s own limits still apply. Managed AI credits are not included.
Can I buy Actions right now?
Not yet. Own Plus and top-ups are pricing previews. Payments, monthly renewals, cancellation and account delivery must be connected before purchases open. The current desktop build uses local test balances; this website cannot refill them or start a subscription.
What would Own Plus include?
The proposed plan is $20 USD billed monthly for 4,500 Actions per billing month. It requires your own eligible AI account. Proposed rollover is capped at 9,000 unused subscription Actions. You would be able to cancel renewal and keep access through the paid period. These are preview terms; no renewal, rollover or cancellation service is running yet. Final checkout will show applicable taxes and complete terms before you pay.
Can the assistant control every website?
Website support varies. Editable documents, forms, clicks, and drag interactions can behave differently from site to site. You handle sign-ins, sensitive details, and CAPTCHA yourself. Stop the assistant whenever you want.
I already installed Own Browser. What should I download?
On Mac, close Own Browser and run the Mac beta installer again to update. On Windows, close Own Browser, then run the latest Windows update. It updates an existing installation. If Own Browser isn’t installed, use the main installer instead.
